It’s been a year of plenty of controversies in video gaming, as it seems every year is. For this Top 5, I had plenty to work with, but I decided on a few criteria to cut things out. First off, I’m not going to be going over any thing that was more in the line of disappointing, particularly any game launches that were less than stellar. After rumors from Nikkei, it has been confirmed that Kojima and Sony will be teaming up to create a new title, with Kojima’s new studio named “Kojima Productions”.
The creator of Metal Gear, Zone of the Enders, and P.T, Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami. After the past year of public battling between Kojima and Konami, including Kojima not being allowed to attend the Game Awards, the mastermind of numerous brilliant games is finally done with Konami. It’s come to the point where I don’t think anyone, including Konami, knows what Konami is doing. Earlier this week, the New Yorker reported that Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, had officially left Konami, with a goodbye party and all. Simon Parkin reported Kojima had a non-compete clause until December.
Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear franchise and executive at Konami will be leaving the company after many years .Konami removed Kojima from the list of directors in an official announcement, on March 4th; effective April 1st, when the Japanese business year ends. Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear franchise, advertised a three-hour, Christmas special that would air live. Most Metal Gear fans thought the Christmas special would show news of the release date of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Kojima himself advertised the live stream on his Twitter, exciting many fans at the possibility of a big reveal. However, these fans were severely disappointed.
